HALAU HISTORY

Halau Hula Malani O Kapehe was formed in 2001 and operated as a Maui County Community class for 9 years as Manutea. In 2010 Kumu renamed the Halau in honor of her Kupuna and moved from a Maui County Community class to a private, traditional Halau in order to advance the teaching of Hula and Hawaiian culture to a growing number of advanced students and alaka`i.

CURRENT CLASS SCHEDULE

Classes are held at the Hale Mahaolu Elima

community hall: 

11 Mahaolu St., Kahului, Maui, Hawaii

Classes take place on Sunday afternoons:

3:00pm- 3:30pm- New (2022) Beginners

3:30pm-4:30pm- Beginner's Hula (2021 Haumana)

Break

4:45pm- 6:00pm- Intermediate Hula (Opio & Wahine)
